Her soul was blackened by the norms of society,

The heart had turned ruthless,

No compassion and no empathy,

For she was asked to sacrifice her own little girl,

They killed her living child,

Only because the poor little thing,

was born with six fingers instead of five,

She didn’t care now,

She couldn’t fight the mob,

So she joined them,

But she would silently warn the passers by with children,

To stay away from that vile place,

She was tethered by their norms,

She was tethered by her helplessness,

For her baby girl was gone,

And her revenge remains,

Waiting to be unleashed…the tethered woman’s rage…
